With the 20th anniversary of Attack of the Clones approaching, I’m reaching out to the Star Wars community for your Episode II movie-going memories for another special retrospective episode of the podcast.
Like 2019's episode remembering The Phantom Menace, this is meant to be a celebration of that distinct moment in Star Wars theatrical history and an honest reflection of what this crazy (and perhaps unfairly unloved) movie meant to you then and now.
In terms of the format, stories can be as brief (2-5 minutes) or extended as you wish, though they likely wouldn’t need to be beyond 10-15 minutes in length.
Please introduce yourself and where you’re from, and beyond that, the storytelling is up to you!
The pre-release hype, reacting to the trailer(s)
The city and theater(s) where you saw the movie
Camping out/waiting in lines for tickets and midnight showings
If you found yourself in any funny/treacherous/ridiculous, or otherwise noteworthy circumstances in your cinematic experiences
Your reactions (and those of your fellow moviegoers) to the film at the time, and what you may think of it now that 20 years have passed.
Record an MP3 or other standard audio file using your own recording software (smartphone voice memos, Windows Voice Recorder, QuickTime, etc.) and send via email to starwarsatthemovies@gmail.com, DropBox, or other file sharing service.
Ideally, all recordings should be submitted by March 31st if possible and thanks so much for taking part!
